Terran began her career in the financial services industry more than 30 years ago. She earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional certification in 1989.  The designation comes with extensive training in financial planning, estate planning, insurance, investments, taxes, employee benefits, and retirement planning.  Terran’s specialty is helping pre-retirement clients plan and save for retirement as well as designing supportable spending plans for retirees that assure income is available for a retirement spanning several decades.

Terran served in a number of senior-level positions at major US corporations throughout her distinguished career. From 2008 to 2010, she helped run ING's business school in Amsterdam. She enjoyed life in a renovated spice warehouse built in 1672 on the Prinsengracht Canal. Upon returning to the U.S., she managed ING’s $40 billion product management department, serving as an “advisor to financial advisors.” Terran chose to join Barbara Taylor as a partner and pursue her long-term goal of collaborating directly with individuals and families along their financial journeys.

Terran loves adventurous travel fostered by her family’s move from Oregon to Southern France in 1971. Her playground was the Musee Oceanographique in Monaco where her father worked as a scientist. This experience instilled wanderlust in Terran. She continues to love to travel and some of her favorites include hiking the Sahara Desert in Morocco, boating through the Galapagos Islands, and she hopes to one day see the aurora borealis. She enjoys accompanying her adult daughter, Sarah, on some of her business trips.

An avid gardener, Terran loves all flowers but has a special passion for peonies and oriental lilies. She spends her weekends at local farmer’s markets, followed by planting and hauling dirt and mulch. You are likely to see her flowers adorning our office.

Terran has a love for antiques and learned to restore furniture from her mother. She is proud of the railway bench you’ll see in our office.

Another source of delight is her redheaded Schnoodle, Finnegan, who is a certified therapy dog. They visit regularly at the American School for the Deaf and public libraries.

Terran holds FINRA 7, 24, 63, and 66 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network®. She offers fixed insurance products and services.
